1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Foundation, and we collect noticeably less from programme participants than we do from donors, because the balance of power in those two relationships is not the same.
- Donors and partners: name, organisation, contact details, correspondence, and a record of what was given and when.
- Volunteers: contact details, skills, availability, and the outcome of the screening our child protection policy requires.
- Programme participants: the minimum needed to deliver and evaluate the programme, and to follow up where follow-up is the point (a referred patient, a placed graduate).
- Job applicants: application materials and interview records.
- Website visitors: pages viewed and approximate location, through privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
2. Photographs, film and stories
We do not publish an image, film or story of a person we work with without their informed consent, given in a language they read, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time without any effect on the support they receive.
We never publish material that identifies a child, including a name, a school or a location precise enough to find them. Where a child appears in an image, we hold the consent of a parent or guardian and the child's own assent, and we do not use that image to solicit donations.
3. Why we process your information
To deliver programmes and follow up on them; to administer donations and issue receipts; to recruit and manage volunteers; to meet statutory reporting, audit and tax obligations; to keep people safe; and to tell supporters what their contribution did.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share donor lists with other organisations, ever - including other charities.
4. Who we share it with
Auditors and regulators where the law requires it. Implementation partners, where a programme is delivered jointly and only for the part they deliver. Service providers such as our email and accounting systems, under contract and only for that purpose.
We do not transfer personal information outside India except where a service provider requires it, and then under appropriate contractual protection.
5. How long we keep it
Donation records for the period our statutory and audit obligations require. Volunteer records for two years after the last engagement, and screening records for as long as safeguarding practice requires. Programme participant data for the life of the programme plus its evaluation period, then anonymised or deleted.
6. Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Write to us at Dollu Foundation, 2403A, Iconic Corenthum, Sector 62, Noida 201301, Uttar Pradesh, India or by email. We reply within thirty days.
Withdrawing consent for a photograph, or asking to be removed from our mailing list, never affects any support you receive from us.
